Alberto Gilardino Opens Concept Bar in Florence

The ex-Fiorentina player has opened a concept bar named Fashion Foodballer in Piazza Strozzi in Florence along with Alberto Gilardino and AS Roma coach Luciano Spalletti.

The trio have added quotations, memories and museum objects such as Gilardino's personal copy of the 2006 World Cup.

Despite a move to Palermo after his second spell in Florence, the Italian striker is keen to cement his ties with the city and this week spoke of his desire to return to the club.

"I could return to live here one day, I'd like that," he told GianlucaDiMarzio.com. "Me as a Viola director? You never know, football is so fast and so intense."
