There are still plenty of good players on the Bosman list

If you think that Fiorentina need further reinforcements, the cupboard is far from bare.

Hello darkness, my old friend.

The transfer window has mercifully slammed shut in Italy, meaning that teams can no longer register players under contract with other teams to their own squads. As the window remains open in various other leagues (Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga, and France’s Ligue 1 are the big ones), we could still see Fiorentina sell some players, but you’d think that they can’t add anyone else.

Ah, dear reader, that’s where you’d be wrong. Because there are a lot of pretty good footballers who are currently out of contract for one reason or another, Pantaleo Corvino has the option of signing as many as his funds permit at any time. Since there are definitely still some holes in the squad (veteran backup goalkeeper, reserve left back, experienced extra striker), it wouldn’t be a shock to see the club turn to one or more of these names, especially if some members of the squad move on in the next couple of weeks. I’ve listed all of them with their most recent club, but again, these are all free agents.
