Why does he look like everyone's little brother's friend?

The Croatian revolution continues in Florence as Josip Maganjic has arrived in Italy to sign with Fiorentina pending a medical. Maganjic arrives from Hajduk Split, the same club that Fiorentina purchased Hrvoje Milic from, suggesting Pantaleo Corvino has connections with the Croatian club similar to his old ties to FK Partizan that resulted in Fiorentina signing a batch of talent from the Serbian club.

Whereas Milic is a veteran brought in for immediate depth, Maganjic is another investment for the future. The 17 year old forward (because who needs defenders?) was successful for Croatia at the youth level and Fiorentina appears to have fought up interest from West Ham and various Serie A clubs for his services.

Maganjic was considered one of the best Croatian prospects at the U-15 and U-17 levels and made his Hajduk senior team debut on May 14th 2016, as a substitute. A striker, Maganjic has already been compared with countryman and now teammate Nikola Kalinic, himself a Hajduk product.

The signing is set to be finalized tomorrow; the deal with Hajduk is believed to be worth around 1 million Euros.
