After his Zlatan-esque goal for Croatia last night, there has been much attention surrounding Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinić. The 28 year-old - signed from Blackburn Rovers - exploded onto the scene for the Viola last season, scoring ten goals in the opening three months of the season. His confidence waned after Christmas however, and poor form led to him contributing with just two goals after the Winter Break.

After standing in for Mario Mandžukić last night when his national side took on Spain, the Croatian looked to have returned to his early-season self, bagging one goal and one assist. Such a headline-grabbing performance was bound to spark media interest in the striker, but his agent was keen to dissuade any such rumours.

"Kalinic's future? Right now he's just thinking about the European Championships" Tomislav Ersev told Radio Blu. "I've spoken to him on the phone, he's very happy with his goal and performance yesterday. Nikola is still in love with Florence"
