As their search for defensive reinforcements continues, Fiorentina are believed to have made an offer for Juventus defender Martin Caceres. The Uruguay international  who is also reportedly a target for AS Roma and Napoli €”is out of contract after his deal with the Bianconeri expired and they insist he will not be handed an extension.

The 29-year-old has won five Serie A titles in Turin, but suffered a torn Achilles tendon back in February and Juve's Director General Beppe Marotta made the club's position very clear "I don't know if Caceres will go to Napoli," he told Radio Kiss Kiss recently. "He's out of contract and at this moment he's free to find an agreement with whoever he wants to."

While that pair of aforementioned clubs have long been linked with the former Barcelona defender, La Nazione report that Fiorentina are trying to steal a march on their rivals and have already offered a contract to Caceres.
