Emanuele Giaccherini seems to be constantly making headlines this week, largely thanks to his superb goal helping the Italian national team to notch an unexpected win against a highly touted Belgium at Euro 2016.

He has now been linked with a move to the Stadio Artemio Franchi, with his agent discussing the future of the versatile midfielder in an interview on Tuesday. The 31-year-old  who hails from the Tuscan town of Talla enjoyed a successful loan spell with Bologna last term after finding himself surplus to requirements at Sunderland.

He has one year remaining on his contract with the English Premier League side but is expected to be sold this summer, as his representative Giulio Marinelli explained. "He takes great satisfaction from his goal yesterday" the agent said, "especially after a difficult season."

Also revealing that Fiorentina's Sporting Director Panteleo Corvino "is a fan of Emanuele," Marinelli added that "Giaccherini would be very happy to come to Fiorentina, but right now is only thinking about the Euros."
