Fiorentina last traveled to the Santiago Bernabeu to challenge for a cup 60 years ago, and Real Madrid have opted to recreate that match in a friendly. The teams’ fortunes have gone rather opposite directions since that fateful game, and they’re certainly in very different places now in terms of quality and form, but this could be a good chance for both to show off a little bit of sizzle and get the supporters excited. And who knows, maybe the Viola can grab their first hardware since 2014.
