In what has been a rather slow news week in regards to our favourite men in purple, details are filtering through about Fiorentina’s new stadium. From what we can gather, Fiorentina’s move into their new stadium has, and will continue to be, a painfully slow process. Not least because of the construction, which is understandable, but because of the multitude of finer details still yet to be determined.
As we saw with the unveiling a few weeks ago, these things can get you kid of giddy. However, as cool as the new stadium looks in a computer generated image, not one steel bar or brick (Can you guess I'm not a construction worker?) has been laid yet. Thus the City of Florence has extended its inquiry into how the heck they are gonna get this masterpiece up and running.
The logistics of how exactly the stadium will take shape over the coming years will be on the drawing board for the architects and planners to mull over in due course.
Rome wasn’t built in a day guys.
