According to Tuttosport, Paulo Sousa has been in contact with the owner of German giants Borussia Dortmund.
The former Dortmund player has apparently been meeting with the owner in a well known Florence hotel.
With Dortmund currently sitting in third and 16 points adrift of table-toppers Bayern Munich, it hasn't been the greatest league season so far. However, they're still in the German cup and the Champions League, so it still could be a successful year for Thomas Tuchel.
Despite this, it still begs the question of why Dortmund are looking at Paulo Sousa?
Back in October, The Mirror reported that Tuchel had fallen out with their chief talent spotter and the rift could see Tuchel leave the club. Prompting interest from Premier League clubs such as Arsenal.
Chances are Dortmund are merely considering their options, although if the owner is travelling to Florence, there could be some serious interest in the Viola coach.
As for the Delle Valles, they've had their annual shareholders meeting. Which included discussions about who Sousa's successor will be. High on the list is Eusebio Di Francesco.
The Sassuolo manager has been constantly linked with the Viola job, and with Fiorentina Vice President Giancarlo Antognoni saying the new manager will be Italian, it would be no surprise to see Di Francesco in charge next year at the Franchi.
