Having committed his future to Fiorentina only last week, this season may already be over for Khouma Babacar. Taken off injured in the second half of Sunday's draw with Sampdoria, tests this week revealed the Senegalese striker had torn a muscle and damaged a tendon in his right thigh, an issue that will rule him out for four weeks.

According to the club's official website, Babacar will then be subjected to further examination, meaning he could miss La Viola's final seven matches of 2015/16. Having netted five goals in limited playing time, his absence could be a blow for Paulo Sousa as he looks to improve the side's recent form and keep pressure on Serie A's top three.

There was better news concerning Milan Badelj however, with a scan showing there are no serious problems for the Croatian midfielder, who should now be available for the all-Tuscan clash with Empoli this Sunday.
