Confirming what we all already knew, Khouma Babacar is a remarkable and really excellent dude. The Olympic Comittee, or CONI, held their 39th annual ceremony last night and handed the award to the 22-year-old striker. Check out the video and some nice photos of the event here, courtesy of Fiorentina.it.
While he hasn't gotten as many chances as he might like with the first team this season, Babacar is tearing it up when he does get on the field. In nine games this season, he's scored five goals. Just as important, he's signed a contract extension that'll keep him in Florence for the foreseeable future, and he's reiterated his happiness to be with the club and working with fellow striking sensation Nikola Kalinic.
So yeah, if you're Khouma Babacar, things are pretty dang good. Congratulations, and keep it up. We're all pulling for you.
