No surprises. No tricks. Just pure calcio.

Late news

Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano has picked his expected lineup, with Lucas Martínez Quarta preferred to Igor at the back. Keep an eye on the midfield, too, as Gaetano Castrovilli may join Sofyan Amrabat in a double pivot with Giacomo Bonaventura as the 10, although it’s likelier that it’ll be more of a standard midfield 3. Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi opts for club captain Samir Handanović between the sticks but otherwise names his usual first XI.

The Viola supporters are out in force and ready to go, turning the Stadio Olimpico into something of a purple fortress. This is from 90 minutes before kickoff if you want a bit of scale. Plenty of big names were in attendance, too, including Borja Valero trying and failing to sneak in unnoticed.

It helps, too, that the Inter fans have decided to stay silent through the first half in protest of ticket allocations for the Champions League final against Manchester City.

Lineups

Fiorentina (4-3-3): Terracciano; Dodô, Milenković, Martínez Quarta, Biraghi; Castrovilli, Amrabat, Bonaventura; Ikoné, Cabral, González

Inter Milan (3-5-2): Handanović; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozović, Çalhanoglu, Dimarco; Martínez, Džeko
