Fiorentina vs Sassuolo: Lineups and how to watch

Both teams spring some personnel surprises on one of the saddest days of the year for the Viola.

Late news

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano has decided that Sofyan Amrabat still isn’t fit enough for 90 minutes, so Alessandro Bianco draws his second straight start. Lorenzo Venuti and Giacomo Bonaventura replace Dodô and Antonín Barák, while Nikola Milenković returns at Lucas Martínez Quarta’s expense.

Sassuolo manager Alessio Dionisi has gone to the bench, opting for the little-used duo of Ruan Tressoldi at the back and Pedro Obiang (certainly joining the Viola soon) at the base of midfield. Domenico Berardi passed his fitness test and is thus clear to start, but may not last all 90 minutes.

Expect a slightly somber atmosphere in the Stadio Artemio Franchi, as today would have marked Davide Astori’s 36th birthday. Sempre con noi, capitano.

Lineups

FIorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Venuti, Milenković, Igor, Biraghi; Bianco, Duncan; Ikoné, Bonaventura, Kouamé; Cabral
