Fiorentina vs Monza: Lineups and how to watch

The Viola start off the new year with a pretty wacky XI.

Late news

Fiorentina mister Vincenzo Italiano, hampered by a rash of injuries in midfield, hands a Serie A debut to youngster Alessandro Bianco in midfield next to Alfred Duncan with neither of Sofyan Amrabat or Rolando Mandragora fit. Nikola Milenković mysteriously drops to the bench, but at least Dodô is healthy enough to start. The much-maligned Arthur Cabral gets the nod up top, with Riccardo Saponara preferred to Christian Kouamè on the left.

Monza manager Raffaele Palladino, on the other hand, hasn’t changed much of what we expected. Keep an eye on Matteo Pessina and Andrea Colpani, who may swap positions, but everything else is as expected.

Lineups

Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Dodô, Martínez Quarta, Igor, Biraghi; Bianco, Duncan; Ikoné, Barák, Saponara; Cabral

Monza (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Izzo, Caldirola, Marlon; Ciurria, Pessina, Ranocchia, Carlos Augusto; Colpani, Caprari; Mota

How to watch

TV: Looks unlikely. Check the full international television listings to be sure.
