Fiorentina vs RFS: Lineups and how to watch

The big surprise in the Viola camp is that Italiano only made 6 changes from the midweek game. The visitors, however, have added an unexpected wrinkle.

Late news

Vincenzo Italiano has shocked many of us by only making just 6 changes to the XI. The big news is a season debut for Luca Ranieri in central defense, so keep an eye on him; a good performance could solidify his spot in the mister’s plans going forward. Keep an eye too on Christian Kouamé starting from the left, from where he could provide the second threat in the box that Fiorentina have lacked for much of the year. RFS manager Viktors Morozs has thrown a curveball, opting for a 3-4-3 that really looks like he’s opted to throw extra central defender Elvis Stuglis in for a striker in his usual 4-4-2. Expect this to frequently look more like a 5-4-1 with Andrej Ilić very isolated up front.

Lineups

Fiorentina (4-3-3): Gollini; Biraghi, Ranieri, Martínez Quarta, Dodô; Barák, Amrabat, Bonaventura; Kouamé, Cabral, Ikoné

RFS (3-4-3): Šteinbors; Lipušček, Stuglis, Jagodinskis; Mareš, Šarić, Panić, Sorokins; Emerson, Ilić, Šimkovič
