Fiorentina vs Twente: Lineups and how to watch

The Viola are forced into a less-than-ideal lineup for what’s shaping up to be a tense game in the rain.

Late news

Fiorentina mister Vincenzo Italiano turns to Matija Nastasić in the heart of defense following a terrible outing from Lucas Martínez Quarta against Cremonese and with Igor still struggling for fitness. Lorenzo Venuti gets the nod at rightback. Giacomo Bonaventura picked up a niggle during the warmup, so Youssef Maleh will slot into midfield. Riccardo Sottil and Arthur Cabral round out the attack.

Twente boss Ron Jans, on the other hand, has sent out the exact XI we predicted. They’ll play in front of 2000 traveling fans who’ve been quite noisy in the streets, prompting a response from the civil authorities and will likely carry that into the Franchi. Also keep an eye on the rain, which is so bad that mayor Dario Nardella issued a severe weather alert for the area.

Lineups

Fiorentina (4-3-3): Terracciano; Biraghi, Nastasić, Milenković, Venuti; Maleh, Amrabat, Duncan; Sottil, Cabral, González

Twente (4-3-3): Unnerstall; Smal, Pröpper, Pleguezuelo, Brenet; Zerrouki, Vlap, Sadílek; Rots, van Wolfswinkel, Misidjan
