After a slightly nervy start to the transfer window, featuring an acrimonious departure for beloved loanee Toothless Lucas Torreira and a bunch of rumors which dissipated like smoke, the Fiorentina brass have rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Daniele Pradè, Joe Barone, Nicolás Burdisso, and the rest of the recruitment department have reinforced some key areas with Luka Jović, Pierluigi Gollini, and Rolando Mandragora (and soon, hopefully, Dodô).
The work is far from over, though, as several areas still need reinforcement. Manager Vincenzo Italiano is still evaluating several players at Moena, but if he decides fringe options like Szymon Żurkowski, Christian Kouamé, Marco Benassi, and Jacob Rasmussen aren’t good enough, he’ll need the recruitment team to keep the arrivals coming; after all, this squad probably isn’t deep enough to compete on three fronts next year, especially considering how demanding Cousin Vinnie’s approach is.
Which position, then, should management prioritize above all others?
