Late news

Spezia manager Thiago Motta hasn’t sprung any big surprises in his XI, but the formation could change depending on Giulio Maggiore, who’s equally comfortable in central midfield, which would mean a 4-3-3, or as a number 10, which would mean a 4-2-3-1. Keep an eye on the Aquilotti captain to determine which it is.

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano, in his first game at Spezia since moving to Florence this summer, has opted for Krzysztof Piątek up front while leaving Jonathan Ikone on the bench again. Sofyan Amrabat replaces the suspended Lucas Torreira, while Youssef Maleh and Gaetano Castrovilli round out the engine room. Igor gets the nod over Lucas Martínez Quarta at the back.

Lineups

Spezia (4-3-3): Provedel; Amian, Erlić, Nikolau, Reca; Kiwior, Sala, Maggiore; Verde, Manaj, Gyasi

Fiorentina (4-3-3): Terracciano; Odriozola, Milenković, Igor, Biraghi; Castrovilli, Amrabat, Maleh; González, Piątek, Sottil
