After a disappointing 4-0 thumping at the hands of Lazio on Monday, Fiorentina has to quickly regroup for a pivotal Conference League matchup against Hearts. A win here would see the Viola go on seven points through four matches, which would be four points above Hearts. Failure to get a result would in turn leave Fiorentina on thin ice heading into the last two matches of the group stage. Vincenzo Italiano’s lineup has a few surprises. Aleksa Terzić continues to deputize at right-back, making us wonder why an upgrade over Lorenzo Venuti was not purchased this summer. Nikola Milenković returns to the starting lineup for the first time since September 3rd against Juventus, and Nico Gonzalez also returns to the XI for the first time since the first leg against Twente back in mid august. Luka Jović getting the start is confusing, to say the least. It appears the club are trying the Dušan Vlahović strategy from two years ago with Luka, but that doesn’t make a lot of sense when we’re in pivotal European matches. Anyways, below are your lineups, and let’s try and have a good time.
Forza Viola!!
