Pre-match
With Francesco Caputo out and Domenico Berardi and Manuel Locatelli only fit enough for the bench, Roberto de Zerbi was forced into some rotation. Giuseppe Iachini also changed things a bit, dropping Lucas Martínez Quarta and Sofyan Amrabat in favor of Martín Cáceres and Giacomo Bonaventura. There was a bit of anxiety for the visitors about team owner Rocco Commisso’s presence, as Fiorentina had only won twice away with him in attendance.
First half
Giacomo Bonaventura did all the work, making picking off a pass deep in his own half, carrying the ball forward, and finding Franck Ribery before continuing his run to get the return and lashing it into the top corner with his left. There’s definitely still some life in those 31-year-old legs.

Second half
Exactly what you expected.
Full time
Goals: Berardi PK 59’ PK 62’, Lopez 75’; Bonaventura 31’ (ass. Ribery)
Cards: Traoré 13’, Lopez 45’+1, Müldür 69’; Castrovilli 15’, Milenković 28’, Biraghi 68’, Eysseric 81’, Pulgar 90’+1
What’s next
Fiorentina remain in 15th with 30 points, although Benevento could pass them up with a result at Lazio tomorrow. Of greater concern, though, is the Cagliari-Parma match: a win for the Isolani would see them pull within 5 of the Viola, although Torino’s still in between as an extra safety buffer.
