Late news
Fiorentina mister Vincenzo Italiano has rotated his squad heavily, as expected. Team comedian Antonio Rosati makes his first Viola appearance since 2014 (and just his second competitive one since 2018) in goal, while Aleksa Terzić, Youssef Maleh, Sofyan Amrabat, Marco Benassi (!), and Aleksandr “May God have mercy on your soul” Kokorin gets his first start as well. Lorenzo Venuti is your team captain today, though, which washes some of the bad taste out.
Benevento boss Fabio Caserta has also rotated his side from the weekend’s win over Ternana, making 7 changes, including the entire tridente, which is comprised entirely of players who are used to playing as central strikers; should be an interesting tactical wrinkle, at least.
Lineups
Fiorentina (4-3-3): Rosati; Venuti, Milenković, Igor, Terzić; Benassi, Amrabat, Maleh; Callejón, Kokorin, Sottil
Benevento (4-3-3): Manfredini; Elia, Glik, Vogliacco, Masciangelo; Acampora, Calò, Tello; Brignola, Moncini, Sau
