Fiorentina 0-0 Bologna: Highlights

The Derby dell’Appennino turned out to be just about as uneventful as it possibly could’ve.

Pre-match

Cesare Prandelli rolled with the same XI as last time against Juventus, meaning Borja Valero and Martín Cáceres stayed in the lineup; the only change was Lorenzo Venuti replacing the suspended Cristiano Biraghi. Siniša Mihajlović picked ex-Fiorentina man Lorenzo de Silvestri in defense and Nico Domínguez in midfield, but the team was otherwise as predicted.

First half

Both teams had chances, but were denied by bad luck, their own shortcomings, or Bartłomiej Drągowski.

Second half

It was dreary, drab, and just plain bad.

Full time

Goals: lol nah

Cards: Igor 8’, Pezzella 71’, Bonaventura 89’; de Silvestri 5’, Schouten 28’, Domínguez 57’

What’s next

Fiorentina lose their chance to win consecutive games for the first time this year and stay in 14th place with 15 points, just 4 points clear of the relegation zone. The only positive is that they’ve now gone 4 straight without a loss and have kept a clean sheet for the past two games with Lazio looming in the midweek. Bologna climb to 12th place with 16 points for now, although Udinese, with two games in hand, will pass them up with a result against Juventus later today.
