Some big surprises up top for the Viola could make for a dynamic and genuinely exciting attack.

Late news

Fiorentina boss Giuseppe Iachini, faced with a bit of a crisis in midfield, has opted to continue with the 3-4-3 featuring finally-healthy Gaetano Castrovilli in the middle. Up top is where the big changes come in, with Christian Kouamé (getting his first Viola start) joined by Riccardo Sottil.

Hellas Verona mister Ivan Jurić, faced with an even bigger injury crisis, has picked Darko Lazović in a more attacking role than usual rather than at wingback, where Federico Dimarco steps in. The XI is otherwise as predicted. Keep an eye on Sofyan Amrabat, who’s joining the Viola at season’s end.

Lineups

Fiorentina (3-4-3): Drągowski; Milenković, Pezzella, Igor; Lirola, Pulgar, Castrovilli, Dalbert; Sottil, Kouamé, Ribery

Hellas Verona (3-4-2-1): Silvestri; Rrahmani, Günter, Kumbulla; Faraoni, Amrabat, Veloso, Dimarco; Lazović, Pessina; Di Carmine
