We have hinted at this for some time now. After many talks back and forth with Fiorentina and many Viola Clubs globally, we are now ready to officially announce the first ever Global Viola Meeting in Firenze from May 15th until May 17th. Please forgive us. Not all details are finalized, but we want to give all of our readers as much opportunity to book their travel as they possibly can. This will be an experience unlike any you have had in Firenze!

The first ever Global Viola Meeting will be arranged around the final women’s game against Orobica on Saturday, May 16th and the men’s game against Bologna scheduled now for Sunday, May 17th. Because team schedules are subject to change (time and date), we cannot publish concrete plans, but we certainly can discuss what is on the table as of now.

Friday, May 15th:

Meet in Firenze for Appertivo with group. Meet and greet with ViolaNation staff, readers and Viola Club members. Time and location to be determined.

Saturday, May 16th:

Morning - Cheer on the Fiorentina women at Stadio Gino Bozzi in Porta Romana for their final game of the season. Speaking from experience, the atmosphere at these games are great. Much will be on the line during this final game. Will we see a cup celebration? Let’s hope!

Night - Global Viola Party - Meet for food and drinks Saturday night with local media personalities, Viola Club representatives from Italian and countries worldwide, Fiorentina staff and potentially, Fiorentina players. As of now, we are waiting on final approval, but we are hopeful we will be hosted at the Artemio Franchi. Fiorentina swag and raffles will be available.

Sunday, May 17th - Meet pregame at ACCVC headquarters for a reception. Grab a drink, share stories with the local fans/ultras. Don’t forget to take some time and shop the local tents for swag only sold in Firenze.

3:00 (tentatively scheduled) - Watch the Fiorentina beat Bologna inside the Franchi. As of now, tickets are purchased on your own, unless we announce otherwise. This is something we are working on.

What I can tell you is that this will be a great experience. This is an opportunity for the global fans to show up and show out, putting on a display to the club and Rocco that the global fans are for real and the biggest growth opportunity for Fiorentina.

There are still many thing we are working through that we cannot announce yet because of the volatility of the Serie A schedule and amount of those attending. Depending on the numbers of participants, different options will present themselves. All experiences are unique and ones we are sure everyone will be excited for.

One note, Serie A scheduling changes can impact our plans. If the men’s game is switched from Sunday to Saturday we would have to move the “party” from Saturday to Sunday night.

We will be putting together an invitation that will go out with a site you can register for. Any costs for tickets and food/drinks will be paid in person in Firenze. All we will ask is that you register and show up.

Please let us know of any questions you may have. We are very excited to share this experience with our readers and we look forward to meeting you all in May!

Forza Viola, Tito, Adam and Mike.

Make sure you get your seat for this party!
