A new-look midfield may be just what this team needs to get things turned around against the Blucerchiati.

Late news

Sampdoria boss Claudio Ranieri has picked Andrea Bertolacci to fill in for the suspended Albin Ekdal but otherwise has his usual XI. Fiorentina manager Giuseppe Iachini has shuffled his midfield, handing Alfred Duncan his first Viola start next to Milan Badelj, meaning that both Erick Pulgar and Marco Benassi drop to the bench. Dušan Vlahović gets the nod up front over Patrick Cutrone.

Lineups

Sampdoria (4-3-1-2): Audero; Bereszyński, Colly, Tonelli, Murru; Thorsby, Bertolacci, Linetty; Ramírez; Gabbiadini, Quagliarella

Fiorentina (3-5-2): Drągowski; Milenković, Pezzella, Cáceres; Lirola, Duncan, Badelj, Castrovilli, Dalbert; Chiesa, Vlahović
