Pre-match
Parma boss Fabio Liverani chose to match Fiorentina’s 3-5-2 with one of his own. Giuseppe Iachini, despite rumors that he’d move to a four at the back system, trotted out his beloved 3-5-2, although he at least rotated in Igor, Lorenzo Venuti, Erick Pulgar, and Christian Kouamé. In fairness, that may have been because José Callejón was a late scratch due to illness, scuppering the work the club had done in training this week.
First half
Not much.
Second half
Even less.
Full time
Goals: lol nah
Cards: Pezzella 68’; Ribery 42’, Milenković 73’
Outcomes
Fiorentina stay in 12th place with 8 points, although Bologna or Genoa could leapfrog them tomorrow with wins against Napoli and AS Roma, respectively. Parma remain in 14th with 6 points. The real question, though, is whether this toothless display was enough to convince management to move on from Beppe Iachini. With all the smoke around Cesare Prandelli’s imminent appointment, you’d have to think so.
