Pre-match

Fiorentina boss Giuseppe Iachini picked the exciting combo of Federico Chiesa and Patrick Cutrone up top together but kept the rest of his side intact. Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso used Sebastiano Luperto at the back with Piotr Zieliński and Fabián Ruiz in midfield.

First half

Federico Chiesa opened the scoring following a wonderful passage of play: Gaetano Castrovilli lofted the ball across the box to Marco Benassi, streaking towards the back post, and the midfielder touched it back to Fede near the penalty spot. The Italy international took a touch and poked it beyond a bamboozled David Ospina for his third in Serie A this year.

Second half

Dušan Vlahović put the match away with an inch-perfect curler after some really good work from Chiesa to keep the ball; a switch of play found Pol Lirola, and the fullback fed the Very Large Teen in a nice spot and let him do the rest.

Near the full time whistle, Castrovilli produced this bit of naughtiness that left Jose Callejón and Diego Demme chasing shadows.

Full time

Goals: Chiesa 26’ (ass. Benassi), Vlahović 74’ (ass. Lirola)

Cards: Hysaj 61’, Demme 66’, Dalbert 84’
