Friday Poll: What spot will Commisso ignore?

Now that Fiorentina has a real live rightback, the team needs a new position to ignore.

Now that Pol Lirola has signed on the dotted line, Fiorentina have a real rightback for the first time since 2011, when Lorenzo de Silvestri was sent packing. Since then, we’ve seen centerbacks like Facundo Roncaglia, Nenad Tomović, Carlos Salcedo, and Nikola Milenković stuck out there. Occasionally a squad player like Mattia Cassani or Vincent Laurini, who’re fullbacks by trade, would bubble upwards, but for whatever reason hasn’t really stuck in the first XI.

The nearly decade-long lack of a rightback has been one of our favorite punchlines around here, leading to a years-long gag asking if goalkeepers can play there (Luca Lezzerini never got his shot). We can’t joke about that anymore with Lirola on the roster, so now it’s time to ask what other position Rocco Commisso and company are going to ignore forever.

Central midfield has already been addressed and remains a top priority, what with the signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng and the obvious interest in Radja Nainggolan and Diego Demme. Leftback has also been addressed via Aleksa Terzić. Pietro Terracciano is a new goalkeeper, so that’s right out as well.

Poll

That leaves us with a manageable few options. Which one seems the most likely for the brass to ignore over the next decade or so?
