After hearing Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini attack Federico Chiesa in his press conference today, I can’t say I’m very surprised. After all, it’s become the trendy thing to do after Fiorentina puts some goals past your defense. Inter Milan fans reigned brimstone down on the winger after he called for a handball in stoppage time that a referee awarded, despite the fact that there wasn’t actually a handball. SPAL president Walter Mattioli howled that Chiesa was “an untrustworthy person” after the VAR incident in the match a couple weeks ago, despite the fact that Fede was obviously fouled in the area.
Since the past three matches have proved that the Viola 25 is the Beast Incarnate and will probably serve as the main henchman to Milla Jovovich in the Hellboy reboot, we’re certainly not going to argue with any of those fine folks previously mentioned; we’re far too accommodating for that. No, we’ll go one better and even add to their cries.
