October was a pretty solid month for Fiorentina. In 5 fixtures, the Viola won 2 games, drew 2, and lost 1 (that probably should have been a draw but for some stunning VAR idiocy from Marco Guida) and saw Florence’s finest climb to 8th in the table despite some key absences.
We also saw some really impressive performances in that stretch: Erick Pulgar dominated the middle against Brescia, Gaetano Castrovilli’s demolition of Sassuolo was fantastic to watch, Federico Chiesa was as consistently threatening as ever, Bartłomiej Drągowski put in a man of the match performance against Lazio, and Nikola Milenković scored and defended as well as you’d ask from a massive human. Other guys like Franck Ribery and Lorenzo Venuti had bright moments as well, although not through every match in the month.
