Late news

Stefano Pioli has sent out the exact eleven we predicted, with Edimilson Fernandes preferred in the holding role over Bryan Dabo and Christian Nørgaard. Valentin Eysseric will start on the left wing again as the mister seeks continuity, but Marko Pjaca and/or Kevin Mirallas should get a run in as well off the bench.

Julio Velázquez has shuffled things a bit as well. In the absence of Rolando Mandragora (suspension for blasphemy) and Emmanuel Badu (knee), he’s opted to changed shape to a 4-2-3-1 from his usual 4-3-3, bringing in Ignacio Pussetto as an extra attacking threat with pace. Keep an eye out for Viola ex Valon Behrami, who will wear the armband and set the tone in central midfield.

Lineups

Fiorentina (4-3-3): Lafont; Milenković, Pezzella (c), Vitor Hugo, Biraghi; Benassi, Fernandes, Gerson; Chiesa, Simeone, Eysseric

Udinese (4-2-3-1): Scuffet; Stryger Larsen, Nuytinck, Troost-Ekong, Samir; Behrami (c), Fofana; Pussetto, Machís, de Paul; Lasagna
