Fiorentina have announced the departure of 20-year old right winger Joshua Perez, who leaves the club on a free transfer to Los Angeles FC.
Joshua Perez officially joined Fiorentina in 2016 after turning 18, but had been training with the club for some time before.
An impressive 2016/17 campaign with the Primavera saw Perez make his first team debut replacing Cristian Tello for the final 15 minutes of a 4-2 loss to Inter. The American u20 international then spent the last year on loan at Serie C side Livorno where he failed to break into the Livorno starting XI. Though he did make 22 substitute appearances, they were on the left wing rather than his preferred right and Perez struggled to impact games in that role.
Though he’ll no doubt be disappointed with how the previous season panned out, the winger is still just 20-years old and could prove to be a shrewd move for the MLS club in a few years time.
