Late news

After the Sampdoria postponement, Fiorentina kick-off the season at the Franchi to face Chievo. There are three debuts with Alban Lafont, Edimilson Fernandes and Gerson making the starting eleven. Jordan Veretout is still suspended but the omission of Bryan Dabo may come as a surprise to the Viola fans. Marko Pjaca makes the bench, the Croatian has been struggling with an injury. Kevin Mirallas doesn’t make the squad at all, he also has had an injury he hasn’t overcome.

Chievo lineup with a familiar face with Nenad Tomovic coming back to Florence. Chievo gave Juve a really good game last time out and will no doubt feel confident coming into this game. Mariusz Stępiński who starts up top will be looking to add to his tally after scoring against Juventus.
