Pre Match
Fiorentina made a couple of changes going into the final home game of the season. Bruno Gaspar and Riccardo Saponara dropped out for Vincent Laurini and Valentin Eysseric respectively. The away side looking to stay in the league were seeking to end a run of four games without a win.
First half
Cagliari took the lead with the first shot on target from either side. A brilliantly whipped ball in by Charalampos Lykogiannis and his cross/shot was nodded in by Leonardo Pavoletti. The for Napoli striker bullied his way past Cristiano Biraghi, who did nowhere near enough to challenge his man.

Second Half
Fiorentina were starved of any quality going forward in the second half and it was, in fact, Cagliari who should have won the game by more goals. Diego Farias hit the bar from point-blank range early in the half and missed a one on one where he was clean through.
Late on in the game, Jordan Veretout was sent off with a straight red for kicking out at Joao Pedro. An ridiculous moment from the Frenchman who completely lost his cool.
