Pre-Match
A rare start for Bartlomiej Dragowski in the match with Marco Sportiello suspended for the match. Also Diego Facinelli is the striker today hoping to get some goals against his former club.
First Half
Bryan Dabo got a two yellow cards in less than 30 minutes. He is out of the game and Fiorentina have to play the rest of the match with 10 men.
Most of the first half seemed like a bit of a table tennis match, until Sassuolo’s Matteo Politano broke the scoreless streak with a goal in the 41’.
☄ Oh what a beauty!! @MPolitano16 cuts in on his left and bends it into the top corner to give @SassuoloUS a 1-0 lead over 10-man @acffiorentina. pic.twitter.com/Nh5lOEwW08

A messy start to the match for Fiorentina. It was not helped by Domenico Berardi barreling into Fiorentina goal keeper Dragowski at the end of the half.
Second Half
The second half was much of the same. Fiorentina did not quite recover from the loss of Bryan Dabo in the first half. The team could not seem to get the rhythm they needed to gain some points in the table. Unfortunately, this was a match decided by a referee that had a quick draw with his book. The fact that there were nine yellow cards given in the match is a problem. If the teams were able to play an actual game the result may have been different.
