Stefano Pioli made a few surprise changes to the side as Kevin Mirallas replaced Giovanni Simeone and Valentin Eysseric came in for Marko Pjaca. Torino’s only change was the Ola Aina started ahead of Alex Berenguer.
First Half
Fiorentina started in perfect fashion, Chiesa’s cross deflected off forma Viola player Lorenzo De Silvestri and fell straight to former Torino man Marco Benassi. The Viola man finished it expertly into the corner past Salvatore Sirigu.

Torino didn't take too long to equalize, in very fortunate circumstances. Ola Aina cut inside and struck the post with his effort, the ball bounced back and hit off the back of Alban Lafont and rolled in.

Second half
Fiorentina were much improved in the second half and Giovanni Simeone had a great chance to win the game but failed to beat Sirigu. Chiesa was Fiorentina’s biggest threat and and was the best player on the pitch.
