You may have thought that calcio was on sabbatical during this international break, but let us remind you that it’s just Serie A that’s paused. Serie B is still in full swing, which means that occasionally, a Fiorentina player on loan to, say, Cremonese will score a peach. And that’s exactly what Gaetano Castrovilli just did.

For those of you keeping track at home, that’s the 20-year-old fantasista’s debut goal as a full-fledged professional, coming in his first match with Cremonese, where he’s spending the year on loan. He was quite tidy after coming on with half an hour left, and this perfectly-taken goal puts an exclamation point on the performance. Fun fact: the man in goal is Luca Lezzerini, whom the Viola sold to Avellino this summer.
