Fiorentina have confirmed today moves that bring Udinese striker Cyril Thereau to Tuscany, and send Ante Rebic back on loan to Eintract Frankfurt, this time with an obligation to buy.
Thereau, despite not being the most glamourous of signings, has enjoyed a steady Serie A career, and has found the net at least ten times in each of his last three seasons with the Zebrette. Whilst he's not likely to start a significant number of games, the 33-year old Frenchman's ability to play anywhere across the front line and decent standard of play should see him be a valuable asset in the last 20 minutes of games as legs begin to tire.
Rebic leaves Fiorentina after making just eight appearances im four years. Once considered one of Croatia's most exciting prospects, the soon to be 24-years-old winger has so far failed to fulfill his potential. He returns to Frankfurt on a year-long loan, with a mandatory €4,000,000 fee next season.
