Kevin Di... Who?

Another day brings another mildly significant notch on the ever expanding list of Fiorentina players plying their trade away from the club. This time its Kevin Diks... remember him? Signed from Vitesse almost a year ago to the day, the full-back has once again found his development better suited elsewhere, and has joined Eredivise champions Feyenoord on loan.

The twice capped Under-21 Dutchman was loaned back to Vitesse in January after an unsuccessful start for the Viola, having made just two Serie A appearances, totalling a mightily impressive 5 minutes of playing time.

Diks now has a chance to prove his worth on a bigger stage in Rotterdam, where he is sure to grab himself a lot more minutes and crucially some Champions League football. Describing his move to Feyenoord as a “dream”, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who has any real idea about what the future holds for him.

Evidently unfancied by Sousa and seemingly surplus to requirements for Pioli, one can only guess that Diks’ long term future probably doesn't point to Florence. However, if the 20-year-old turns on the style in Rotterdam, Fiorentina could have themselves a right back of much needed quality come 2018.
