Late news

Paulo Sousa has made a lot of changes for this one, starting with a restoration of the 4-2-3-1 formation, albeit without any fullbacks. Borja Valero, Milan Badelj, and Nikola Kalinic will drop the bench, while Carlos Salcedo, Sebastian Cristoforo, and Riccardo Saponara will make rare starts. 19-year-old Polish goalkeeper Bartłomiej Drągowski will make his Viola debut between the sticks, and Ianis Hagi has been named to the bench, whence he might also make a late appearance.

Zdenek Zeman has also brought in some new faces, specifically Valerio Verre in midfield and Jean-Cristophe Bahebeck on the wing. Otherwise, though, it’s about what we expected.

Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Dragowski; Salcedo, Gonzalo, Astori, Tomovic; Vecino, Cristoforo; Chiesa, Saponara, Bernardeschi; Babacar

Pescara (4-3-3): Fiorillo; Zampano, Fornasier, Campagnaro, Biraghi; Memushaj, Brugman, Verre; Bahebeck, Muric, Caprari
