Remember Giuseppe Rossi? Yea he was the golden boy of Italian Soccer for a while even though he grew up in America. Rossi spurned the United States to play for his parents home country and then eventually became a star in Europe. Well in case most of you forgot, he is still technically under contract with Fiorentina. Yes la Viola, still hold the rights to Rossi even though he is on loan at Celta de Vigo in Spain.
Unfortunately for Beppe, he suffered another terrible injury while playing in a game on April 9, 2017 for Celta de Vigo. The Italian forward tore his ACL again, shortly after scoring this hat trick.

As many of you remember, Rossi was sidelined for a long period of time due to the same injury. At this point Rossi and Derrick Rose of the New York Knicks should have a competitions to see who can tear more ACL’s.
All jokes aside this is a sad injury. Rossi is beloved in Florence and was a great player for la Viola. Unfortunately, it got to a point where he fell out of favor with the team and was loaned away. Beppe was coming into his own with Celta de Vigo and even had a hat trick recently. This injury can really be devastating to the career of the 30 year old. Knee injuries definitely do not get easier, the more you have them. On behalf of the whole viola nation staff we hope for a speedy and easy recovery for Rossi. He surely was loved in Florence and will always be a part of the Fiorentina family.
