Ex-Viola defender Tomáš Ujfaluši spoke with Viola News the other day, and perhaps the most interesting tidbit (besides some compliments about his talented young countryman Martin Graiciar, who’s on loan from Fiorentina at Slovan Liberec) was that our Ujfa wouldn’t rule out a return to Florence.
It’s not totally crazy that he’d come back, either; after all, Giancarlo Antognoni, Stefano Pioli, Emiliano Bigica, and Martin Jørgensen all used to suit up for the club and have taken on leadership roles within the past two years, indicating the Della Valles’ recent desire to bring back the glory days. Ujfaluši has some experience as a club employee, too, as he spent a year as a director at Galatasaray after he hung up his boots.
That got us thinking about what other retired players would do well in the Viola office, and that’s our poll for this Friday.

Roberto Baggio was a damn UN Goodwill Ambassador and was recognized by the Nobel committee, so working for Fiorentina shouldn’t be asking too much for him.
