First half
AS Roma started the brighter of the two sides, dominating possession and generating a few half chances which Ciprian Tatarusanu dealt with nicely. Fiorentina grew into the match, though, and the half finished with the Viola pushing the Giallorossi back.
Second half
Things started much as they’d finished, and Nikola Kalinic somehow managed to miss a free, point-blank header that should have given the Gigliati the lead. Instead, it was his compatriot Milan Badelj who belted one past Wojiech Szczesny, and the Viola held on courtesy of some Tatarusanu heroics for a big win.
