Massimo Rastelli has opted for towering centerback Bartosz Salamon over Luca Ceppitelli, but has otherwise sent out his expected eleven.
Paulo Sousa has reverted to his 3-4-2-1 after reports that he’d stick with a 4-3-3. Carlos Salcedo will start ahead of Nenad Tomovic, while Borja Valero will drop into the midfield beside Matias Vecino, with both Milan Badelj and Carlos Sanchez starting on the bench. Cristian Tello will return as the right wingback, while Maxi Olivera impressed enough against Slovan Liberec to earn another start on the left. Federico Bernardeschi will start as a central attacker, rather than a wingback.
Cagliari (4-3-1-2): Storari; Pisacane, Alves, Salamon, Murru; Isla, Tachtsidis, Padoin; di Gennaro; Borriello, Sau
Fiorentina (3-4-2-1): Tatarusanu; Salcedo, Gonzalo, Astori; Tello, Vecino, Valero, Olivera; Ilicic, Bernardeschi; Kalinic
