First half

Nikola Kalinic latched on to a deflected Khouma Babacar through ball and finished nicely to put Fiorentina up 0-1 in the 8th minute.

Kalinic wasn’t done, latching onto a Davide Astori pass over the top after Liberec’s defender Ondrej Karafiat and goalkeeper Martin Dubravka got in each other’s way and gave him a free path to the goal.

Second half

Fiorentina came out flat and paid the price when an unmarked Peter Sevcik tapped in at the back post after Ciprian Tatarusanu made a nice save off a corner in the 58th minute.

Khouma Babacar restored the 2-goal lead, with the assist coming from Cristian Tello and Borja Valero also involved in a textbook counter in minute 70.

Liberec continued pressing, but Radim Breite’s 84th minute dismissal put the matter to rest. With Qarabag notching a 2-0 win over PAOK, Fiorentina now have the sole lead in Group J.
