Today Levante have confirmed that they have signed Giuseppe Rossi on loan until the end of the season, subject to a medical. The news has been announced on the Spanish club's website.
Rossi, still lacking match fitness after significant knee injuries, requested a move from Fiorentina for more playing time in hopes of making Italy's Euro squad. Levante, currently in last place in La Liga, needs the attacking help and will offer Rossi an opportunity for regular playing time he would not get in Florence.
Rossi had the best spell of his career in La Liga, totalling 192 matches and 82 goals for Villarreal. In the 2010/2011 season, he scored 32 goals in 56 matches for the El Submarino Amarillo.
Fiorentina has already purchased Mauro Zarate as a replacement, while Porto's Cristian Tello is having his medical and will likely be announced soon.
