Fiorentina on international duty - Gonzalo returns to the Argentina national team

As we approach another international break, the return of Gonzalo to Argentina for the first time since 2008 represents a highlight.

After being snubbed for both the World Cup and Copa America, Fiorentina's defensive leader Gonzalo Rodriguez has, along with Roncgalia, been called up by coach Geraldo Martino for the Argentina selección to replace an injured Ezequiel Garay. Gonzalo last received one of his 6 international caps in June 2008 during a 0-0 draw against the United States.

Argentina returns to the United States for friendlies against Bolivia and Mexico to prepare for World Cup qualification.

The Argentines are not the only ones with multiple Fiorentina players reporting for duty; Rebic, Badelj, and Kalinic have already joined the Croatia squad as Rebic has proudly pointed out on instagram.

Captain Pasqual might not have made his start for Fiorentina so far this season, but has been practicing with the Azzuri starters for Conte's 433.
