Misfiring Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez is reportedly being courted by Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Beşiktaş, but according to ViolaNews, valuation of the player may be an impasse in the transfer dealings. Fiorentina's valuation of the player stands at around €10 million, in addition to the small matter of €5 million that the receiving club would have to pay Super Mario in wages.
Some reports coming through journalist Alfredo Pedullà suggest that Gomez may have already said yes to Beşiktaş, and is ready for new challenge in Turkey, however, the two clubs are still to work out a fee that would allow Fiorentina to replace Gomez with a new striker.
The rumours surrounding a potential swap deal with Liverpool involving Gomez and Balotelli seem to have lessened. A banner leaving no doubt about how some fans in Florence feel towards the Italy and Liverpool striker appeared outside the Stadio Artemio Franchi today emblazoned with the words:
"You are a man without honour. Balotelli, Florence doesn't want you"
