Fiorentina travel to Sicily in search of fifth place

La viola look to take three points from mid table Palermo who have nothing to play for in the end of season clash

A win on Sunday away to Palermo will mean that only Genoa can beat Fiorentina to 5th place this season. Genoa, who scored a dramatic late winner on Saturday evening to take all three points from Inter, have problems of their own, though, as they have lodged an appeal against the decision not to award them with a UEFA licence for next season. Fiorentina can also now in theory catch up to Napoli in 4th place after they lost 3-1 to Juventus in the early Saturday evening game - if Montella's men can win their final two games and Napoli lose their tough final game against Lazio.

L'aeroplanino has denied that there was anything ominous about his dinner in Florence with Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero, despite increasing rumours of a potential exit in the summer and has also quashed any possibility of a problem with Mario Gomez, despite having dropped the striker in recent games.

The last clash between the two sides saw a thrilling 4-3 home win for the viola, and they will be hoping to overcome the rosanero once more. Confidence is high in the league for Montella's side as they head into the game fresh from three straight league wins, but hey will have to do without suspended Alessandro Diamanti, however, there are no fresh injuries to add to the list.

Palermo coach Giuseppe Iachini praised the Fiorentina squad and coach ahead of their trip to the Stadio Renzo Barbera, but of course was keen for his side to put on a strong display in their last game in front of the home fans. Paulo Dybala, looking to put himself in the shop window ahead of a likely big money summer move, will line up alongside strike partner Andrea Belotti, who was on the scoresheet at the Artemio Franchi in January.

With two games left for Fiorentina, it is still all to play for. Let's finish the season on a high note - Forza Viola!

Probable Lineups:

Palermo: (3-4-1-2) Sorrentino; Vitiello, Gonzalez, Andelkovic; Rispoli, Jajalo, Rigoni, Lazaar; Vazquez; Dybala, Belotti

FIORENTINA: (4-3-3) NETO; TOMOVIC, GONZALO, SAVIC, PASQUAL; MATI, PIZARRO, VALERO; JOAQUIN, GILARDINO, SALAH
