Chievo Verona vs. Fiorentina, Match thread

Fiorentina are facing Chievo at Marcantonio Bentegodi in attempt to close the first round of Serie A better then they started it. And to hopefully get a string of good results, to prove that January isn't as horrible as it used to be. As expected, the viola will have to do it without one of the key members of the first team, injured David Pizarro. It will be up to Milan Badelj to replace him and, possibly maybe prove that no reinforcements in that position are needed.

Elsewhere, Vincenzo Montella preferred Manuel Pasqual to Marcos Alonso on the left, while Mario Gomez will spearhead Fiorentina's frontline, with Juan Cuadrado as the seconda punta. Let's hope it works.
